Apollo bolt action ballpoint pen, ebony, chrome

A luxurious bolt action ballpoint pen that oozes quality. Hand turned in Indian ebony with premium quality heavy chrome plated components. The wood used for this pen is nearly jet black with a very subtle grain.

Ebony is a dense black hardwood, dense enough to sink in water.  Ebony has a long history of use, with carved pieces having been found in Ancient Egyptian tombs. Traditionally used for black chess pieces and black piano keys. Modern uses are largely restricted to small items, such as musical instrument parts.

This pen is supplied with a black Parker style refill (installed), a black velvet presentation box and a black velvet drawstring pouch.
