Cigar Alianti ballpoint pen, tree of heaven, gold plated

This Cigar style pen has an attractive chunky feel and is made from beautiful Tree of Heaven wood and premium gold plated components. It has a wax finish to compliment the natural properties of the wood.

The name Tree of Heaven is derived from the Ambonese word ailanto, meaning "heaven-tree" or "tree reaching for the sky. The tree was first brought from China to Europe in the 1740s. It was one of the first trees brought west during a time when chinoiserie was dominating European arts, and was hailed as a beautiful garden specimen. In addition to its use as an ornamental plant, the tree of heaven is also used for its wood, medicinal properties.
