Classic ballpoint pen, ash, comfort grip, gold plated

A classic ballpoint pen that looks and feels like a much more expensive pen. Beautifully handcrafted pen embellished with three decorative bands on the barrel; made from English ash wood, which has an attractive colour and grain. The pen is adorned with quality gold plated components and has a gloss finish to highlight the natural properties of the wood.

This pen is supplied with a black Cross style refill (installed) and a black velvet drawstring pouch. Pen boxes can be purchased separately.

The ash tree exudes a sugary substance that, it has been suggested, was fermented to create the Norse Mead of Inspiration. In Norse mythology, Yggdrasill was often seen as a giant ash tree. Elsewhere in Europe, snakes were said to be repelled by ash leaves or a circle drawn by an ash branch. Irish folklore claims that shadows from an ash tree would damage crops. In Cheshire, it was said that ash could be used to cure warts and rickets.
